What are types of hormones?

Hormones are divided into three basic groups:

Lipid-derived hormones:

  • refers to all the essential, non-essential, and biologically inactive lipid-derived substances of either natural or of synthetic origin that are recognized as hormones.
  • stimulate certain organs or glands to produce a reaction, such as secreting hormones.
  • researchers have discovered that some hormones can be synthesized from lipids and that lipids can be transformed into hormones.
  • there are two types of lipid-derived hormones, both regulate metabolic and water balance functions. They are:
    • glucocorticoids 
    • mineralocorticoids

Amino-Acid derived hormones:

  • Amino acids and essential oils have been clinically shown to work as natural hormones and can replace hormone deficiencies that can harm your health and quality of life.
  • these substances are natural and can be used with no fear of side effects by simply eating them.

 Peptides:

  • derived from plant cells, synthetic animal placenta (tabs) and concocted in a lab lower the incidence of breast cancer. Tests show that women with breast cancer who take these oral peptide hormones have actually had more tumor growth than those not taking peptides. 
  • many parts of the body produce peptide hormones, including the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, pineal gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, and the pancreas.
