What is a healthy diet?
A healthy diet is one that promotes or maintains good health. A balanced diet supplies the body with needed nutrients such as fluid, macronutrients like protein, micronutrients like vitamins, and sufficient fibre and energy.
Common components of a balanced diet:

- Whole grains
- No processed foods
- No sugary beverages
Healthy food includes beans, grains, cauliflower, cantelope, pasta, bread, orange, turkey, salmon, carrots, turnips, zucchini, snowpeas, string beans, radishes, asparagus, summer squash, lean beef, tomatoes, and potatoes.
