What is cholecystitis?
Cholecystitis is irritation of the gallbladder that commonly occurs while a gallstone blocks the cystic duct.
What are the signs and symptoms of cholecystitis?
- Severe ache on higher upper or middle stomach
- Pain that spreads for upper shoulder or back
- Tenderness over stomach while touched
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Fever
What causes cholecystitis?
- Gallstones.: result of difficult debris that broadens your gallbladder (gallstones).
- Tumor: may also store your bile from draining from your gallbladder properly, inflicting bile buildup that may cause cholecystitis.
- Infection: AIDS and positive viral infections can cause gallbladder irritation.
