What is allergy?

Allergy is a disorder in which the body's immune system misinterprets a foreign substance as a dangerous "invader".

A material that can produce an allergic reaction is known as an allergen. When certain people comes into contact with the allergen, the immune system's reaction can inflame your skin, sinuses, airways or digestive system. 

What are the signs and symptoms of allergy?

  • red eyes
  • a rash that itches
  • nosebleeds
  • exhaustion
  • swelling
  • sneezing

What allergens are the most common?

  • food allergies :  egg, peanut, kiwi, milk, nuts, soy, fish, animal meat, and wheat
  • environmental allergies: pollen, dust, latex, mold, tobacco smoke, medications, bites and stings from insects, excrement of insects and mites
  • genetical allergies: transfer via genes
